Steps To becoming a member at Findlay Movement

 

Step 1: Free 1:1 Consultation with a Coach

In this preliminary stage, we find out if we are a good fit for each other. This 45-minute appointment is structured to discuss your long-term health and fitness goals and we’ll go into detail about how our process works to support your health and fitness goals long-term. The consultation is done by appointment only and with one of our coaches, you can also look at our coaches bio’s and request an appointment with one of them directly!

Step 2: Movement & Fitness Assessment

A top-to-bottom movement and fitness assessment done with a Coach. This process is done 1:1 over the course of three sessions. We assess your current physical capacity and understanding of general movements so we can accurately quote you on how many sessions you’ll require for your personalized Foundations Course. It also allows for a “test drive” with our training methodology and health/fitness ideology to ensure we like working long-term together. Everyone goes through this stage, regardless of experience. 

Step 3: Foundations

Everyone who trains with us has different capabilities, needs and goals. The Foundations course is designed to meet you where you’re at and teach you what you need to know in order to get you ready to train in our group environment. This process is customized to the individual and done 1:1 because we understand that everyone learns best in their own way. This course allows the individual to become competent and comfortable at the basics so by the time they graduate to group training, there’s no hesitation or self-doubt! 

Step 4: Hybrid Memberships

Once you graduate from Foundations, our ongoing memberships are structured for a mix of class and individual sessions with your coach. Training happens predominantly in the class structure, your 1:1 coaching sessions are designed to cover personalized programming within the class training, new and ongoing movement training, health and nutrition coaching. 

Seminars:

We also facilitate ongoing education opportunities. Our Coaches share their specialties in small group learning environments so you can continue to invest in your health and fitness. Past Seminars have included Olympic Weightlifting, Powerlifting, Nutrition, and Mobility to name a few. Check out our website for upcoming seminars.
